In 2026, Gardens by Twilight return across two inspiring evenings at the Show — Friday 27 and Saturday 28 March — where you can explore the gardens into the evening until 9:30 pm.

Joel Barnett’s ‘Je ne sais quoi’ garden at this year’s @melbflowershow draws inspiration from his childhood around the Geelong Cement Cricket Club. Playful and contemporary, and full of spirit, it captures the character that makes a garden special.

‘We the Wild’, designed by Matt York of @ratio.consultants, will be brought to life at @melbflowershow in two weeks’ time. The garden is a reminder that wildness, biodiversity and a sense of place can be achieved at any scale. We’re proud to be lighting this immersive landscape at this year’s show.

“Love Blooms Here” will be more than a show garden at this year’s @melbflowershow. Designer @jasonhodgesandco, together with @semkenlandscaping, are creating a fairytale-inspired garden where a real-life wedding will unfold for Dean - who has spent 22 years building show gardens with @semkenlandscaping - and his bride Tayla. All of this will be set against the iconic Royal Exhibition Building. We’re thrilled to be lighting this truly once-in-a-lifetime moment.
