The team at Gardens at Night collaborated with Adam Robinson Design to transform this split level courtyard with fire pit, barbeque and entertaining spaces on Sydney’s lower North Shore.

LIGHTING

Lighting was incorporated in the design to enhance the understated features in this entertaining space. Subtle shades of grey in the hardscape materials blend seamlessly and lighting allows the textures of green foliage to be highlighted.

The subtle approach to lighting design for this space was practical. Our Wiltshire wall lighting in bronze casts a warm light over the space, while step lights provide a functional purpose to highlight the split-level deck. Our versatile Pole Light Single light often used for pathways, shines light on the barbeque and food preparation area. Accent 5 up lights were also installed to draw the eye to the olive trees and the  contemporary structure of pleached conifers along the fence line.

Complete with the natural light and warmth from the fire pit, at dusk, this space has been transformed into an inviting outdoor space for a winter barbeque and evening of entertainment.
